Intan Sari Luwak Coffee Garden sits along the scenic stretch of Jl. Raya Tegallalang, making it a natural stop for those interested in something beyond the usual coffee break. This coffee shop specializes in Luwak coffee, and its quiet garden setting reflects the slower paced village life of Gianyar, Bali.

Visitors typically come here to learn about and taste various forms of Luwak coffee, including unique offerings like Luwak Poo and freshly harvested Luwak Kaffeebohnen. The atmosphere is peaceful and unhurried, with outdoor seating that pairs well with leisurely coffee sampling. This makes it a relaxed spot for travelers wanting to break from busier tourist lanes to enjoy a hands-on coffee experience.

The vibe is informal and educational rather than rushed – guests often mention being warmly welcomed and guided through the traditional Luwak coffee process, with opportunities to see the civet cat involved in production. Sampling is central here; you can try a variety of coffee blends and teas before deciding on a purchase, which adds a layer of interactivity not found in typical cafés.

This place works well for curious coffee enthusiasts or anyone interested in the local coffee tradition of Bali, particularly during quieter daylight hours when the garden’s calmness can be fully appreciated. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are part of the draw, sharing insights in a way that feels personal and genuine rather than scripted.

  • Atmosphere: Laid-back garden setting with informative tours and tastings.

Highly recommend this place for a unique coffee tasting experience and enjoying a coffee with a spectacular view. I had the lovely Ayu who was my guide, very friendly and good in what she does. Prices were really good too.

We dropped by because the place specializes in Luwak coffee. It was quiet when we visited, with only a few other guests. We were warmly greeted by the staff, who started with a short intro about the place, the Luwak coffee process, and other drinks they offer—like vanilla, chocolate, and Bali coffee. They even showed us the actual Luwak and briefly explained how the coffee’s made. Drinks are IDR 55,000 (around $3.5) per cup, including the Luwak coffee. After ordering, we were given a tray of sample drinks in tiny cups—such a nice surprise! Service was great, very friendly and informative. Only downside: we were hungry, but they only offer drinks and small bites. Overall, a great stop if you’re into unique coffee experiences. We ordered the Luwak coffee and avocado coffee—both nice, and the total was just IDR 80,000 (around $4.8). Worth it!

We had a truly delightful experience! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely lady (wish we’d caught her name) who kindly explained the fascinating process behind their coffee-making. After purchasing two cups of coffee, we were invited to sample all of their coffees and teas—a real treat! There was also a great opportunity to purchase any of the coffees or teas we tried. My personal favorite was the coconut coffee—absolutely delicious! Despite the heavy rain, the whole experience was cozy, informative, and full of charm. Highly recommended!

Interesting and truly informative experience! It’s a family owned little plantation with cute, friendly luwaks. Kadek was an exceptional guide, she told us many interesting details not just about the plantation, but about Balinese life and culture as well. 100% recommended place!

Amazing experience! The guide showed us all the plants, luwak’s, how they roast the coffee. Then we got the luwak and hot cocoa. + it came with the tasters. So much better than the other sell out places around!!!

A quick entertaining tour showing how coffee and cocoa are made. The Luwak cats also sleep in the restaurant and you can pet them. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking and the coffee tasting deserves 10 stars! Absolutely recommended! Two large coffee and the tasting on the photo for 108.000. (6€)
